Information we collect

When you contact us or use a website form, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, email address, company, role, enquiry type, message and any business or valuation details. Please do not submit sensitive personal information or information you are not authorised to share.

Our hosting and technology providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, device details and request logs to operate and secure the website. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics collects information about visits and interactions.

How we use information

We use enquiry information to respond, assess potential business opportunities and maintain correspondence. Where applicable, this is based on our legitimate interests in managing business enquiries, taking steps at your request before a contract, or meeting legal obligations. Optional analytics is based on your consent, which you can withdraw on the Cookies page.

Storage and service providers

Website form submissions are recorded in a Google Sheet and used to prepare email notifications for the Tern team. Our hosting, email, analytics and other service providers may process information on our behalf. We do not sell enquiry information. We may disclose information where required by law or where necessary to protect legal rights.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, appropriate safeguards must apply to those transfers, such as adequacy arrangements or approved contractual protections.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to handle enquiries, maintain relevant business records and meet legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on the information and purpose. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights to access, correct or erase your information, restrict or object to processing, and receive certain information in a portable format. You can withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

To make a request or raise a privacy concern, email [email protected] or write to 3rd Floor 45 Albemarle Street, London, England, W1S 4JL. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Third-party content and changes

Our website includes embedded videos and a map from third-party providers. Loading or interacting with these services may share technical information with them under their own policies. This policy may be updated as our website and practices change.
